Athletic Trainer Melissa DiFabio

Melissa is a 4th year doctoral student in the Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) program at the University of Delaware. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Boston University and her Master of Education in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia where she completed her thesis entitled, “Relationships between Lower Extremity Functional Tests after ACL Reconstruction: A Factor Analysis” under the direction of Dr. Jay Hertel. Melissa has 7 published manuscripts including a first author publication in Journal of Sport Rehabilitation, 29 conference abstract presentations, and 1 textbook chapter co-authorship. Prior to enrolling in the Ph.D. program at the University of Delaware, Melissa worked as a clinical athletic trainer at the St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, Connecticut and previously was a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the University of Virginia football team.
