Newark, Del. — After victory in all three games at home last weekend, the Blue Hens will take on the Villanova Wildcats in a home-and-home series this weekend.

Friday’s (Oct. 4) game will be at Fred Rust Arena beginning at 7 p.m., after which the Hens will travel to Pennsylvania for Saturday’s (Oct. 5) game at Hatfield Ice, with puck drop at 8:15 p.m.

Villanova is coming off of a win against the Temple University Owls, 4-0. Friday marks the first meeting between the Blue Hens and the Wildcats in about 20 years.

This week’s player to watch is defenseman Jake DeFares. Jake currently leads the team with five goals, including the game-winning tally in Sunday’s (Sept. 29) 4-3 victory over West Chester. Jake, a senior majoring in Organizational Behavior and Community Leadership, sets a great example for some of his younger teammates both on and off the ice.

Tickets can be purchased at the arena box office ($6 for adults, $3 for children). Entrance is free for UD students with a UDID.
