Newark, Del. — After two tough losses to Liberty, the Blue Hens will travel to NYU this weekend to face the Violets. The first game is Friday (Feb. 21) at 9 p.m. and the second game is Saturday (Feb. 22) at 9 p.m., both taking place at Chelsea Piers.
The Blue Hens and the Violets went face to face last month, with the Blue Hens taking victories in both games. The Violets played Rhode Island this past weekend and took losses in both games. NYU has a current standing of 8-12-0 and UD is 20-12-0.
This week’s player to watch is forward Gavin Hussler. Gavin is a sophomore from Plainview, NY. Although it is only his second year with the Blue Hens, his offensive skill is essential to the team. The Blue Hens are confident he will help continue to push them forward towards the upcoming national tournament.
