The University of Delaware Blue Hens defeated the Liberty Flames 4-0 on Friday, Octobber 24 in the opening of their two-game series.
Scoring opened late in the first period by super senior Samantha DiSabatino. In the second period, freshman Olivia Tarca scored followed by anotehr goal by DiSabatino. Going into the third period, up by three goals, senior Katie Smith sealed the deal by scoring the fourth and final goal late in the third. Junior Sarah Ehrlich recorded her first shutout of the season as well as the first shutout for the team.
