With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the Blue Hens are looking to help out the local community.
On Saturday, November 22nd, the Blue Hens Women’s team will compete at 5:15 pm against West Chester University and the Men’s D1 team will be hosting ESCHL opponent Lebanon Valley College at 8:15 pm in the second game of a “home and home” weekend in the Rust Arena. The UD Hockey program encourages all fans to bring non-perishable food donations, in order to support the Food Bank of Delaware during this busy time of year.
Even though donations of all kinds are encouraged, the Food Bank has expressed a need for the following items:
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Tuna
- Soup
- Canned tomatoes
Please help the Blue Hens fight hunger!
Free admission for the women’s game at 5:15 pm and free admission to the 8:30 pm men’s game when you bring and donate 5 non-perishable food items.
