Father of Dylan and Ryan Johnson

Once held the record for the fastest goal in college hockey history (:06) t0 start a game. It was bested in 2005 (:05).

1991-92 – As a first year player, Dave is a forward with much promise. As the season progresses, look for Dave’s offensive and defensive attributes to lead the Blue Hens to victory.

1992-93 – Dave overcame a slow start to provide offense for the Hens. His hard work enabled him to see time on the first line and show just how good he can be. With a years experience under his belt, “Gene” should have an even better season in 92-93.

1993-94 – Dave enters his third season as a Hens forward. “Gene’s” skating ability and size should help him have another successful season. He can perform well on any offensive line. Look for Gene to light the red light this year.

1994-95 – In his fourth season, “Gene” is known for his hustle, intensity, and determination. After a vigorous off-ice training program this summer, Dave has strengthened his offensive capabilities. Look for Dave to use his experience to aid the Hens to victory.

1995-96 – Dave played an important role in last years offense. He was sixth on the team in scoring with 26 points. Gene was also a key contributor on the deadly Delaware power play unit. In his final season with the Hens, Dave will be looked to for not only scoring but also for leadership on a young team. Dave should be one of Delaware’s leading scorers this season.
