7 Dave Bergeman

1986-87 – This freshman defenseman has impressed the coach with his aggressive puck handling abilities. This Delaware native will add to the defensive depth, as well as gain valuable experience this year.

1987-88 – Dave entered the Blue Hen pro-gram with confidence and poise. Although Dave played defense, he was a substantial offensive threat. His speed and hard shot were assets that will probably lead him to an offensive position this season. Off the ice Dave is known as “The Cat.”

1988-89 – Dave is one of the Blue Hens top defensemen and posses a big league shot. His talents earned him a spot on a Canadian travel-ing team that went to Europe this summer. He is an intense player who often takes charge of a game in pressure situations.

1989-90 – Last year’s leading scorer once again promises to have a big season. Backed by a great shot and deceptive moves, Dave will be looked to in key situations to provide the offensive punch. As a defenseman he will also be counted on to keep pucks out of Delaware’s net. This season Dave is serving as Public Relations officer.

1990-91 – Finishing among the leading scorers last season, Dave’s strong offensive play and over-powering shot will assure his spot atop the leaders in his final season. Dave will be counted on in most of the Hen’s key situations. His experience in the defensive end will aid the younger defensemen and keep the zone clear of opposing players. Once again Dave is serving as this year’s Captain. Dave will also be serving as President and Public Relations officer.
