Hens fall to 0-2 in League Play

Delaware lost to Liberty 5-2 on Friday October 23. Nathan Marks opened the scoring for game beating the Flames goaltender low stick side. Liberty capitalized on a few mistakes, power plays and bad bounces to take a commanding 5-1 lead early in the third. The Hens bounced back when Freshman Alec Rankin scored his first goal in a Delaware uniform. The Hens pressed hard the rest of the game but could not get the puck to land in the back of the net.

The loss coupled with the loss to 5-4 at UMBC keeps the Mid Atlantic Collegiate Hockey (MACH) defending champs in cellar for league play. The Hens have a chance to bounce back against Maryland Friday October 30. The game will kick of a month long home game hiatus. The next home game will be in December.
