Weekend Preview Oct 24th- 26th

Last weekend, the Blue Hens faced West Chester twice. They were dominant both times and won by multiple goals. This weekend, the Blue Hens will be in another doubleheader, this time against Rutgers University.

The Blue Hens have been off to a great start, winning their last three games by at least three goals. Their only loss of the season was a close one against second ranked Robert Morris. Their offense has been superb in their first four games, averaging 5.25 goals per contest.

Last game; the scoring was well rounded as far as lines go. Left Winger Michael Conte scored his first goal of the season for the Blue Hens. Center Matthew Gumina also scored his second goal of the game on the energy line. The six-foot Senior has also been a intimidator defensively for the Blue Hens. Senior Defender JC Brancaccio also scored for the Blue Hens raising his goal total to three for the season. The top line was productive as well.

Since losing to Robert Morris 5-3, the Blue Hens defense has looked solid. Anchored by Seniors Steve Braun, JC Brancaccio, Nick Ustaki and Gabriel Colona, the veteran defense has proven to be a formidable defense. They are only giving up 2.25 goals a game, 3 goals less than what they are scoring a game.

Rutgers will be coming to the Fred Rust arena on Friday hoping to end a losing streak. After they managed to win the first game of the double header with West Chester, they lost the second and lost both games against Stony Brook. Andrew Koslov has nine points in eight games and they will be looking to him for some more offense.

The puck will drop at 7:00 PM on Friday night in the Fred Rust arena. The two teams will then travel to Rutgers the next night in the second game of the double header. The puck will drop at 8:30 PM in the ProSkate Arena.
