Three Blue Hens Honored By ESCHL

ESCHL gave out its end of the year awards, and there were a few Blue Hens who were recipients. In total, there were three players that got to represent University of Delaware.

Cole Zucker was named to the ESCHL All-Rookie team. He led the Blue Hens in goals and was an offensive presence the whole year. He would finish tied for fifth in the ESCHL in goals and proved that even though he is only in his first year, he is already one of the best snipers in the ESCHL. He also scored the Blue Hens last goal of the season in the ESCHL championship game.

Max Freeman was also named to the ESCHL All-Rookie team. He was actually able to out pace fellow freshman Cole Zucker with 33 points. That was good enough for 11th in the ESCHL. He was also one point behind sophomore John Redgate for leading the Blue Hens in points. In the first round of the ESCHL playoffs, he was able to get 3 points.

Alex Guerere was named to the ESCHL All-Defensive team. The junior was aggressive on the blue line, breaking up plenty of opponent’s rushes with a swift check. He was also successful offensively, and was used frequently on the power play. Against Rhode Island, he scored both of the Blue Hens goals and gave the team a huge win against their rivals.
