The Blue Hens are back from Thanksgiving break and will be heading to New York to face one of their biggest rival teams, the Stony Brook University Seawolves, for the first time this season. The first game will take place on Saturday, December 1 at 8:10 pm at The Rinx in Hauppauge, NY and the second will be on Sunday, December 2 at 3:10 pm in the same location.
The Hens are coming off an extremely successful weekend in which they had back-to-back wins against Temple University and Towson University. However, after taking off a week for some turkey, the team must make sure to get together and re-group in order to take on their rivals and keep up their streak this coming weekend. On the other hand, Stony Brook’s most recent games both resulted in losses to the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines last Saturday and Sunday.
This week’s player to watch is #8 Cam Piorkowski! Teammate Brian Ostrander noticed Cam’s efforts on the ice and said, “Cam has found the offensive side of his game recently and is always a physical force on the ice. That type of gritty and physical play is exactly what we need against one of our biggest rivals, Stony Brook.” We look forward to watching Cam continue to grow in his next few years playing with the Blue Hens!
