Hailing from Middletown, New Jersey, Kevin Felice wraps up his four year run with the Blue Hens this season. Playing hockey since he was three years old, he shares that the sport runs in his family. His Dad is a huge hockey fan and his other brothers played as well. Currently student teaching, he will graduate in May with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
A proud New York Rangers fan, Kevin also enjoys rooting for Liverpool FC. His other hobbies include swimming and playing “Flip Cup.” Kevin explains that he chose UD because of the renowned education department, the campus, and the athletic facilities. Although his brother was the captain at Rutgers, UD was his favorite school and where he ultimately committed. Over 110 career games, Kevin has totaled 72 points, earning 28 of those points in his best season last year. Kevin is a key player on the ice and is a great role model for the younger players. His work ethic in hockey and in the classroom has not gone unnoticed.
When asked about his favorite hockey memory, he had quite the story to share. “I got dropped against Stony Brook and everyone thought I was concussed, but I wasn’t. Then I went out the next shift and scored my first goal.” Kevin joins many other players in saying that he will miss “the fellas” the most about UD Hockey. His final words of advice for the younger players on the team is, “don’t take hotel towels.”
