Senior Spotlight: Colin Emerich

Delaware local, Colin Emerich, is a forward for the Blue Hens. Currently studying Finance and Economics, Colin has been playing with the team since sophomore year, but playing hockey since he was six. His Dad taught him how to skate around age five and he’s been playing the game ever since.  Growing up, his favorite hockey memory was winning two National championships.

This Eagles fan chose to come to UD because of its close proximity to his home and to save money. But now, he is happy with his decision to come here. Since his time with the Hens, he has created an abundance of memories but shared what he will miss most, “The guys, the bus rides and being all together.” In 107 career games with the team, Colin totaled 87 points. He had his best season yet this year, scoring 15 goals and earning 24 assists. His strong presence on the ice will be missed. As his time with the Blue Hens comes to a close, he leaves final advice for the younger players, “Keep working hard and good things will come.”
