Rutgers Weekend Preview

This weekend, the Blue Hens will start out in Newark with a game against Rutgers University for their Senior Night before they head over to New Brunswick for the second game of the series against the Scarlet Knights. The first game will be held on Friday, March 8th at 7 pm in the Fred Rust Arena. This game will honor the senior players who have dedicated themselves to the team throughout their college careers. After the special night, the Hens will head over to the Pro Skate Ice Arena for Saturday’s game which begins at 3:30 pm.

Last week, Delaware faced NYU for the second time this season, where they split the weekend series, winning the first game 7-2 but losing the second 4-3 in overtime. The Scarlet Knights’ most recent games were February 16th and 17th. During that weekend, they lost both games of the series to Canisius College.

This week’s player to watch is #30 Stephen East! This senior has been playing with the team throughout his college career, and we can’t believe his time at Delaware is coming to an end. Stephen has been the starting goalie for the past two seasons and has blocked countless goals. We congratulate Stephen on 4 successful years as a Blue Hen, and wish him the best as he moves on to the next chapter of his life.

Be sure to keep up with the team and show your support on social media this weekend!
