Newark, Del. — After taking two victories over Rhode Island, the Blue Hens are back this weekend to face Robert Morris University. The first game will take place on Friday (Dec. 6) at 6:15 p.m. and the second game will be Saturday (Dec.7) at 5:25 p.m., both taking place at Fred Rust Arena.
This Friday will also be UD’s annual Hockey Holidays game. The Blue Hens sold raffle tickets all week in Trabant University Center for gift cards and various prizes. Raffle winners will be chosen during Friday’s game.
In the last weekend series, the Blue Hens took victory over Rhode Island, 3-2, in Friday’s (Nov. 22) game and won again, 5-3, in Saturday’s (Nov. 23) game. Last Saturday (Nov. 30), Robert Morris faced Mercyhurst and tied, 2-2. The Colonials have a current record of 7-5-2.
This week’s player to watch is forward Devin Jenny. Devin is a senior accounting major from Hauppauge, N.Y. Although he grew up playing forward, he has confidently played at the point throughout his college career. The Blue Hens look to Devin for his strength and making opponents ‘pay’ on the power play.
Tickets are $6 (free for UD students) and are available at the door. If you can’t make it this weekend, watch the Hens on the live broadcast at dehockeynight.com.
