The Hens will be heading over to Virginia this weekend to face the Liberty University Flames for a series this weekend. The first puck drop of the weekend will be on Friday, February 15 at 7:00 pm in the LaHaye Ice Center, followed by a game on Saturday, also at 7:00 pm, in the same location.
Back in October, Stony Brook was in Newark for Delaware’s Home Opener. Unfortunately, Delaware lost both games in that series. Additionally, the Blue Hens are coming off of a loss to Stony Brook last weekend. Despite the results, Delaware fought really hard, especially on Saturday when the Hens scored 4 goals in a matter of just 5 minutes. Sadly, that comeback was not enough to beat the Seawolves. On the other hand, Liberty is coming off of a win against The University of Rhode Island, in which they beat the Rams 6-5.
This week’s player to watch is #25 Jake Nimeh! Teammate Ian Anderson says, “he has been working hard and finding his role and is now starting to find it on the stat sheet.” Jake has contributed a number of goals this season, and his hard work has not gone unnoticed by teammates and fans alike.
Be sure to keep up with the team and show your support on social media this weekend!
