Get excited for Delaware hockey this upcoming weekend! They will be traveling to Liberty University to play Friday night, November 11 at 7pm, and Saturday night, November 12 at 7pm at the Liberty LaHaye Ice Center.
This past weekend The Blue Hens took on the Rutgers Knights, and we split the weekend. We came out with a 3-2 loss at the Fred Rust arena on Friday Night and a 5-3 victory Saturday afternoon in New Jersey. We saw many great plays this weekend and assists from our UD players. On Friday we saw goals from Michael Redgate and Cole Zucker. On Saturday we came out with a 5-3 win from goals from John Redgate, Pierce Lamberton, Christopher Mazzella and Jakob DeFares.
Last weekend Liberty took on Stony Brook University, and split the weekend as well. They won their game on Friday 3-2, and on Saturday they came out short with a 5-4 loss. A few players Delaware needs to keep an eye out for during the upcoming games this weekend are Grant Garvin, Quinn Ryan, and Zane Schartz.
The Blue Hen player to watch this weekend is junior forward, Dustin Rabinowitz! He has been playing on the top of his game this season and started from the Blue Hens this past Saturday! He has been an increasingly crucial part of the team’s success. So far this season, he has 4 goals and 5 assists. We hope to see a lot more from him as the season continues!
Since the team will be away, be sure to follow our Twitter and Facebook page for updates. There will also be the option to live stream the game from Liberty, and the link will be posted to social media. Cheer them on from a far, and let’s hope for a Blue Hen win!
