Pete Mills, a BA and MBA graduate with honors from UD, was a hard-hitting stay-at-home defenseman for the Blue Hens from 1983 to 1988. After racking up 379 penalty minutes, Pete is the all-time career record holder for PIMs as a Blue Hen. Pete had excellent hockey sense, great vision, outstanding puck handling skills, and was quick and decisive moving the puck up ice. As a team builder, all those who played with Pete benefited from his leadership, both on and off the ice. Pete was a key player in on the first Delaware team to earn an invitation to the National Club Championships in Huntsville, Alabama in 1985.

Currently President & CEO at The Indiana Rail Road Company, Pete also serves on executive boards of two charitable organizations in his community (The Florida Theater and The San Jose Athletic Association).
