Mike Gardner

Mike was one of the most skilled forwards to ever put on a UD Hockey sweater. A shifty center, Gardner tallied 73 goals and 98 assists for 171 total points in his career. Mike was named the inaugural ESCHL MVP in 2007-08 when the Blue Hens finished 2nd in the regular season and playoff standings and in 3rd place at ACHA Nationals. He then defended the MVP title serving as a team co-captain in 2009. Gardner also earned First Team All-ESCHL honors in 2008 and 2009, Second Team ACHA All-American honors in 2009 and Third Team honors in 2008, along with a bid to the inaugural ACHA All-Star Game in 2008.

Gardner was always a leader on and off the ice and played a pivotal role in helping the Blue Hens reach the ACHA National Tournament in all four of his years as a Blue Hen, including back-to-back National semifinal appearances in 2007 and 2008.

A native of the Washington, DC area, Mike spent the beginning of his career in New York City. He has since continued his profession as an Equity Trader with Trillium Trading Labs and now resides in the Miami, Florida area with his wife Kate and dog Kuzy.
