Christian Bellino

Christian “Loaf” Bellino was a 4-year (1993-97) starting wing for the Blue Hens and one of the most prolific scorers in team history.   Over his career he amassed an amazing 231 points putting him 4th overall in total goals and total points. Christian started immediately as a freshman in 1993-94 and was ultimately awarded by the coaches as the Rookie of the Year. He would go on to earn team MVP in this junior season and Outstanding Forward in his senior season.  In addition to this he was elected by his teammates as a team captain his junior and senior year.Christian received several league and national awards including ECHA first team all-star in his junior year along ACHA honorable mention All-American.  He was also a clutch scorer notching OT game winning goals three times in his career at UD (believed to be a team record) including the game winner in the elimination game in the 1996 National Tournament in Athens, Ohio. This was the first year ever that the Blue Hens qualified for the ACHA national tournament. Today Christian lives in Roseland, NJ with his wife Annamaria and children Joanna and Anthony. He is a Compliance Director with Prudential in the Financial Services Industry.
