Delaware Ice Hockey

Colonials and Dukes Weekend Preview

The Blue Hens will be traveling to Pennsylvania this weekend to face the Robert Morris Colonials for a weekend series. The first game will take place on Friday, February 1 at 9:35 pm at The Robert Morris University Island Sports Center in Allegheny County, PA. The second game will be on Saturday, February 2 at 7:20 pm in the same location.

Following the series against the Colonials, The Hens will journey over to Pittsburgh, PA to take on the Duquesne University Dukes. The third puck drop of the weekend will be Sunday at 11:30 am at the Alpha Ice Complex.

Delaware is coming off losses the past few weekends, but have been practicing and working hard to get back on track. The Colonials also lost their most recent game to Canisius College last Friday, with a final score of 6-7. However, The Dukes won their game last weekend, when they beat West Chester University last Sunday 6-3.

The player to watch this week is #6 Harrison Chuma! According to teammate Ethan Docking, Harrison is “a big physical defenseman who’s sound in his own zone.” This sophomore is also known to jump up and join the rush of a play whenever he can. We can’t wait to see what else “Chewy” will bring to the team throughout the rest of the season as well as future ones!
