The Blue Hen Men’s D1 Ice Hockey Team has some exciting news for their fans! Tickets will be $55, and this ticket will get you into the UD game AND the Philadelphia Flyers versus the Carolina Hurricanes game at 7:00 p.m.! These tickets will be available for sale at the UD hockey games and on the UD hockey website in the booster club section at https://udelhockey.com/m1/booster-club/flyers-tickets/.

Delaware has been on a winning streak, and they have won their past five games! The season record so far is a total of 8 wins and 3 losses. The Blue Hens have been playing some really great hockey. We have been seeing contributions from all players throughout the past couple of weeks. Our team’s point leaders so far in the season are Cole Zucker leading with 18 points, John Redgate with 14 points, and Vinny Zingarelli and Leo Skehan, both having 12 points. Defensemen Nick Ustaski leads the back end with 5 goal and 4 assists and is coming off at hot weekend at Rhode Island scoring in consecutive games. The Dragons have had 4 wins and 8 losses so far this season. Drexel’s point leaders are Ryan Williams, with 12 points, and Christopher Rodrigue, Matthew Williams, and Christopher Hagen, all having 9 points.

When talking about the Drexel weekend last year, senior, Nick Ustaski said, “Last year we swept the weekend against them. They play hard and are always a good challenge, a good local rival.” He also touched on the upcoming game saying, “I am very excited for the game at the Wells Fargo Center. I haven’t played a game at an NHL rink since I was a little kid playing at the United Center in Chicago. It should be an unreal atmosphere, and a good challenge for our team. Drexel has played and stuck with many good teams thus far in the season. Getting to see the Flyers play immediately after is also a huge plus. This is also something great for the local community and our program since many UD students are Flyers fans. It also gives us the opportunity to play in front of the locals.”

The team is so thrilled to be playing this game, and hope that we can get as many Blue Hen fans out to Philly as possible!
