It’s that time of year where the ESCHL gives out their end of the year awards, and this year some of our Blue Hens were the recipients! There were six players to represent the University of Delaware.
Junior, Dylan Troiano was awarded 2nd Team All-League Goalie. Dylan went 16-6 on the season and made 621 saves, his save percentage is .903! In the national tournament, Dylan kept the team in both games, carrying the team to an overtime victory and a hard battled loss.

Senior assistant-captain, Nick Ustaski, was named to the 2nd Team All-League as a Defensemen. Nick had scored 9 goals, made 18 assists, and 40 minutes in penalties. Two of his 9 goals were game winning goals. Nick scored two goals in the national tournament versus Lindenwood to keep the hens alive and spark a comeback. Nick was also named as a representative of University of Delaware on the ESCHL All- Academic Team as a History and Foreign Languages and Literatures double major with a legal studies minor and will attend law school next fall.

Junior assistant-captain, John Redgate, was honored with 2nd Team All-League Forward and forward for All-Defensive Team. John was this season’s point leader. He racked up a total of 46 points throughout the season. He scored 27 goals, earned 19 assists and 49 penalty minutes. Two of his 27 goals were game winners.

Freshman, Pierce Lamberton, was named as the All-Rookie Team Forward. Pierce and the other rookies on the team were an essential part of the team this season. He scored 4 goals and had 15 assists, and his aggression earned him 47 minutes in penalties.

Senior, Pat Rochefort, and junior, Corey Leskanic, were also awarded the University of Delaware Academic Team award. Pat is a Civil Engineering major, and graduating in May to work for an engineering firm. Corey is a Biology major and a Medical Diagnostics minor on a pre-med track.
