Weekend 9/29
The Blue Hens finished September and start October with a win. Friday they faced off against PSU Harrisburg and closed with a 9-5 victory over the Lions.
On Sunday the team traveled to Salisbury to finalize their two game series with the Gulls. They closed the series with a second win ending 8-3 in favor of the Blue Hens.

Weekend 10/6
Friday team traveled to the Winding River Skating Center for their DVCHC league opener against Richard Stockton. It was a fast and physical game. Going down early in the game the team put together an excellent 2nd and 3rd period. The game ended up going into over time, where Shane Saladis’s sealed the victory when he recorded the Hattie on the assist from Bernstein just seconds in OT. Final score 5-4 Hens.
Saturday the 7th the Hens faced off against Ramapo for their Breast Cancer awareness game and it was a packed house. The team raised and donated a total of $290 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The Blue Hens played well, but came up short in an OT shootout to the Road Runners. Final score 5 Ramapo Delaware 4

Weekend 10/13
Friday the Blue Hens matched up against the Kutztown Bears Friday night for parents weekend. It was great to see all the parents in the stands to enjoy the game. The team put together a very good 3rd period where the Blue Hens found the net four times to record the 7-3 victory over the Bears.
Sunday 10/15 proved to be a fast paced & action packed game against Ramapo. Leading the scoring charge was freshman Steven Palomba with the hat trick.

The season is just getting underway here at Delaware and the Hens are about to enter the heart of their league schedule. The rookie class is settling in nicely and the team is beginning to gel with their veteran line mates. The stage is set as the team prepares for two big games this upcoming weekend against Alvernia and Division Rival Rowan.
