The University of Delaware Men’s CHF team notched the program’s 150th win in dramatic fashion in the DVCHC championship game against Penn State University – Harrisburg.  Penn State – Harrisburg took a 2-0 lead in the first period with an even strength and short-handed goal.  Conor Riley set up Thomas Allen for a goal late in the first to cut the Penn State lead in half.

Delaware tied the game early in the second with a Conor Riley goal from Nicholas Kajtazi. The teams traded chances during the next 18 minutes of the second period without success.

Both goaltenders ensured the third period was scoreless but it wasn’t long into overtime before Thomas Allen scored his second of the game to secure the DVCHC championship title.

The University of Delaware outshot Penn State University – Harrisburg 33-25, with James Palmeri making several key saves for Delaware. Overall, it was an exciting and hard-fought game that showcased the talent and skill of both teams.
